Goathland, renowned as Heartbeat’s ’Aidensfield’, is just 7 miles away, and Flamingo Land Theme Park and Eden Camp, a Second World War museum, are both within 10 miles. Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall are within 15 miles as is the coast at Whitby.
